Pumpkin Farm

Halloween is a favorite time of year in our household.  TJ adores it.  I think his biggest disappointment in me as a wife is that I am terrified of haunted houses and won’t step foot anywhere near one.

He took the day off of work today, and we went to a local pumpkin farm.  This is the fourth year we have been there, and finally we chose a day with relatively good weather.  Normally, we freeze our butts off.

This year was especially interesting because of the Goose.  It was the first time she really got to experience an event like this.  Ordinarily, she kind of sits on the side lines and watches what is going on.  But today she was old enough to really participate and enjoy it.

I think the girls’ favorite part was the corn box — it’s a huge sandbox made out of corn.

There is also a haunted forest there.  It is made for little kids, but it scared my bigger little kid.  The Goose was fine until the very end.  They both ran out of the forest crying though.  Maybe next year…

I took hundreds of pictures today, and I couldn’t narrow it down to my favorite ten or fifteen, so instead, I made a little video.  The music isn’t exactly what I wanted (slow rather than upbeat and fun,) but I only had so many songs at my disposal today, so I did the best I could.

Also, I spent the morning making a bunch of Halloween hairbows.  I’ll be posting those later in the week or early next week if you are interested.

Like last time I posted a video, I can’t seem to embed the actual video, so just click on the link below (pumpkin) to view it.

Enjoy!
