Why I Run

– To prove to myself that I can.

– To prove to myself that I have discipline.

– To get in shape.

-To get in awesome shape.

– To do something many people can’t.

– To become an athlete again.

– To have goals that are just for me.

– To have alone time.

– To clear my mind and maintain mental health.

– To lose weight.

– To learn to respect myself again.

– It feels AMAZING!

I was never the running type.  When I was in college, I would occasionally run a bit, but that was about it.  Whenever I would get into running, I would push it too much and burn out after a couple of weeks.  That’s why it’s odd that I have become such a big running advocate, but it has seriously changed my life.

A SAHM doesn’t often get the opportunity to prove herself and accomplish goals, and I think we can have a tendency to abandon that part of ourselves.  Running gave that back to me.  It is proving to me that I can do anything I put my mind to it – even the most unlikely of goals.  If I can do it, anyone can.

What is a goal you have had that you haven’t pursued lately?  What is one thing you never thought you could accomplish?  Why not go for it?

  1. I love to run and just recently started to get back into it. I used to run back in high school and some in college. I started to train for a marathon once but never finished the tranining and did not run the marathon. One goal I have is to train and run a marathon next year.

  2. We have been going to this particular website for a while now, and that i can’t consider the great data you produce about! You might have a daily visitor in me!
