Pardon My Snark

I try not to use this blog for negative or snarky things.  There’s enough Perez Hilton-esque blogs out there to go around.  But today’s Yahoo headlines were just too much for me to ignore.  They made me wonder what we have come to if this is our “news.”

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt’s Clothing Choices  The article ends by asking, “What do you think of Shiloh borrowing her brothers’ clothes?”  Umm I think she’s a little girl who looks up to her big brothers and wants to be like them.  They seem to imply that there is something abnormal or extreme about her clothing styles.  What I think is more abnormal is that a bunch of adults sat around a computer writing an article analyzing the clothing choices of a six year old.  Maybe her parents can’t afford new clothes for all the kids and so they have to use hand me downs.  Well… perhaps not.

On a side note, she seriously could not look more like her parents.  From the nose up, She’s Pitt and from the nose down, she’s Jolie.  Lucky little girl!

Girl Banned From School Pictures On first glance, this seems atrocious.  A little girl not allowed to partake in her class pictures because of her hairstyle, especially because her hair style is adorable and completely age appropriate.  How dare they!  But then you go on to read that she goes to a very strict private school that has a clearly stated policy that only certain bows are allowed and no hair braids may be worn.  Oh.  So she broke a clearly stated rule and must now face the consequences.  My daughter didn’t finish her vegetables one night and wasn’t allowed to have dessert.  Someone alert the media!

Next Generation Balloon Art Man makes stunning balloon “animals.”  “Yea, that warrants a news report,” I thought sarcastically.  Oh, hold on a second.  That stuff is awesome!  “The Mona Lisa?”  “Girl With a Pearl Earring?”  My apologies.  This guy makes my balloon animals seem a bit… amateur.  Check his out in the link above.  It’s worth your time.

And check mine out below.  Perhaps not so worth your time…

  1. His balloon art was kind of cool lol … but I agree with you on what is considered news … especially “headline” news … and we’re all allowed to get snarky … I might actually have something humorous to write later this week … which would be the unique change for me =p lol …

    1. Thanks for stopping by :-). The “news” is definitely crazy! Have a great day 🙂
